Gas leaks, Dormant Volcanoes and Rockets

Governor Brown has issued a State of Emergency for Porter Ranch area of LA (34'/118'). According to reports, as of Dec. 22, 1.6 million metric tons of carbon dioxide had been released in the air. There is a well close by that has been leaking methane for 3 months and they do not expect it to be fixed until March. It has been leaking since Oct. 23, 2015.
My first thought was that a lot is going on in Southern California lately. You have the ongoing troubles of San Onofre Nuclear Plant in San Diego (33'/117'). It is shut down now but I believe it is storing nuclear waste. There are at least 3 dormant volcanoes in Southern California, Lavic Lake, Amboy and Salton Buttes. They have been showing activity in the last few years. Salton is also on 33rd parallel.  On November 7,2015, the US had an unannounced missile test over Southern California.  On December 21, 2015, SpaceX had a launch that went over this area at 33/34 th parallel. On December 22, 2015 a Russian rocket body was seen from Las Vegas to Ventura(34'/119') . It was first reported as a meteor but was later changed to rocket.
I was wondering if a lot of methane gas is in the upper atmosphere because it is lighter than air, if a rocket going through the gas would cause an explosion that could trigger earthquakes and nuclear waste to explode. If the gas is in jet stream it is could be over Nevada and around Hoover Dam. Would it crack the dam?
SpaceX has been checking engines lately. It was raining pretty good last night and they were testing in the rain. They ran a long test this morning. I checked their manifest and the next mission is for Jason-3 sometime in Jan. to be launched in Vandenberg AirForce Base in California(34'/120') to go to Leo.
